Nostalgia w/o filters:

PICTURES FROM THE END OF AN ERA

Nostalgia without filters

Analog photos may not be perfect, and everyone may not look their most attractive. But they capture the memory of a certain moment and what it felt like then.

That crucial moment, materialized with an analog camera, is a physical proof that all those scenes existed, even though they are now blurred or forgotten.

Film photography stops being an image and becomes a treasure, something that can still be touched when everything else is gone.

Pictures from the End of an era

Joan C. Ponsa, a professional photographer whose life's work has been developed
with film photography, travels the world seeking these pictures to rescue them from oblivion.
He finds them anywhere, from flea markets, to auctions or antique shops.
Lost photos from around the globe, rediscovered, selected and classified, ready
to be artisanally framed in his atelier.
Behind this project, stands a personal passion for the past, the family albums, the imperfections of amateur photography,
the mystery of black & white film and the uniqueness of Polaroid.

Everything that was about to disappear, has now been preserved.
All those single analog pictures that could not be printed again because negatives were far lost, are now carefully framed and certified with the story of the image on the reverse.
Ready to hang in your home for you to enjoy a piece of the End of an era.
